All kinds of energy-efficient window coverings are making an appearance these days. Soaring fuel costs, combined with the realization that glass equals waste, have encouraged folks to use every old and new idea for windows. Quilted shades have become the rage. This insulted fabric can be applied to heavy duty spring rollers to literally blanket any size window. Note that because of the thickness of the fabric it’s easier to operate quilted shades on narrow windows. Outdoor blonds, too, have become popular.
